Ordinary Membership lies at the heart of LOFOB.

Ordinary Members form part of the organisation's membership body and play an important role in supporting the mission, growth and future direction of LOFOB.

By becoming an Ordinary Member, you become part of the LOFOB family and join a community committed to inclusion, independence, dignity and opportunity for blind and visually impaired persons.

As LOFOB journeys towards its centenary in 2033, Ordinary Members have the opportunity to help shape one of the most important chapters in our history.

Who May Become an Ordinary Member?

Applications for membership are considered in accordance with the Constitution and membership policies of LOFOB.

Ordinary Membership is open to individuals who support the vision, mission and objectives of LOFOB and who wish to actively participate in the life and future of the organisation.

Ordinary Membership is for those who support the visually impaired community and want to be a part of our purpose driven movement.

Pro rata contributions may apply for members joining during the course of the membership year.

Membership contributions support the programmes, services and activities of LOFOB and assist the organisation in continuing its work within the blind and visually impaired community.

R250 Per Annum
The LOFOB membership year runs from: 1 June to 31 May

Support the work and mission of LOFOB.
Receive organisational news and updates.
Attend meetings, member events and the Annual General Meeting.
Participate in discussions regarding the future of the organisation.
Exercise such rights and privileges as may be provided for in the Constitution.
